David Bowie - Preludes Of Greatness [1969] [Boot]


Hello Rabbits and Weasels. It soon be the ol' Season of the Witches and Ghostly Spooks and all that crap.
Who would know, these days, that the whole damn thing is based upon or at least mixed with and intertwined with a Christian tradition? (Have a look on things like 'eve of All Saints Day' or 'All Hallows Day').
Funny when you get a Christian nowadays saying they don't 'celebrate' Halloween and even the folk who refuse to let their kids get involved with it at school and with their friends.
It is pathetic.
I mean..seriously, there are no such things as Demons or Ghouls people.
Don't let an old Christian tradition convince you of otherwise as it's a whole load of wishy washy bullshit.

I have had a few requests to re upload this fine bootleg in the past so here it is...worthy of a whole new post on its and not only because the previous post was way back in 1974 and this one might bring new people to the greatness of Bowie so it had to be done!
There are many, many bootlegs collected of David Bowie and they cover right from his early days up to the present day. Like my Dylan bootlegs obsession I seem to have a penchant for the older stuff where Bowie is concerned. He had such a skill...such a melodic voice and I just love it. As I said when I posted this one before...information on it is hard to come by so all I know is: It was recorded in 1969 and was recorded at Clairville Grove, Chelsea. I don't even know if they mean in UK or some other Chelsea as there's loads of them around the world no doubt. Oh well who cares. It SOUNDS fine!

Seems this is a speed corrected version of another bootleg known as 'Beckenham Oddity' or one called A Letter To Hermione
