Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Three 3 Episode 6 - THE FINAL EPISODE

I didn't think I would even be slightly interested by this time but I will admit it: I was laughing a lot to this last show. Pretty funny stuff. After all my complaining I now find myself feeling a bit sad at the prospect of no show next week :(
What are we going to do?
Maybe I should start a podcast of my own? Naa. That would be funny but not in the way it's supposed to be. Funny because it would be so shit probably.
I wonder..

Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Three 3 Episode 5

Thanks to a kindly soul of demonoid, I bring you the next stunning episode of the Karl Pilkington Piss take show.
Enjoy.

I would hazard a guess that the Bob Dylan show is taking a break this week. Seeing as it is not anywhere to be found and I can't even get it from the usual sources either.
I will get it as it comes.
Music will be posted soon. Illness you know, its a cnut.

As usual, I am posting the first uploaded links here for you now. as the others that I am upping are ready, I will return and post new links.

Kraftwerk - Computer World

Hey guys! HitmewithMuzak posting here, with Kraftwerks Computer World. This is probably the basis of all techno music, and has influenced every artist, directly of indirectly, wether or not they realize it. This was sampled in Coldplay's X&Y. Yeah, I'll stop going on now, this CD is really good, I'm actually posting this because someone requested some European, non-english, non-Rammstein music, and this is the best I could come up with.
I'm thinking of posting some of my Sex Pistols records here, I'm somewhat obsessed with collecting everything they've ever done, I have around 30 albums, bootlegs, and radio appearances, is there any interest?

Kasabian - Empire [2006]

You might well sneer at this post.
I did.
I thought I should post the odd charting album on here as well as the usual brand of varied stuff and nonsense!
I confess to having liked Kasabian from the moment I first heard them. It was a while back now...the song, If I remember right, was Processed Beats. They just sounded NEW and FRESH and better than anything else that was around at the time.
Times, it seems, change quickly these days. In fact you could equally state that 'times change slowly' too as my point is that since Kasabian had their last album and their fifteen minutes of fame etc, there are now a load of similar and mediocre sounding bands who have brought back the eighties sound and rebranded it as some kind of 2005-2006 britpop scene.
I fucking hate it.
OK, Franz Ferdinand: You did alright but got boring far too quickly. Kaiser chiefs: Hmm, a bunch of mummy's boys with too much money and time on their hands but not enough presence for my liking! Keane: Just fuck off you twats. Kasabian: You are definitely a head and shoulders above the others but you are already becoming tiresome, old, tedious and lacking in original sound.
I remember when Oasis brought out Definitely Maybe. anyone in the UK at that time will remember the effect that album had on the music scene here(which was in a similar state of static boredom). It was like a lightning strike through the heart of British music. they rocked the charts around and(far too) many people thought they were the dogs bollocks.
I'm not saying it is time for Oasis to bring an album out! Hehe now that would be dull and boring and crap...not to mention fucking hilarious!
What I am saying is that somewhere, I hope, there is a band in the UK music scene that are as yet undiscovered. they willbring out their debut and have the sudden striking effect that I recall from the Oasis debut album. We NEED a fresh and new sound around these shores. Stop with the friggin' 'copy the eighties' sounds already. It sucks!!
anyway my friends, enemies and in-betweenies...
I kind of like some tracks on this(hehe) but I have listened to it a lot in the last three days and already it sounds old. I also measure an album/bands quality on how long there music lasts and this will soon end up in the pile that gets played rarely.

Enjoy it eh!

Jimi Hendrix: 'Straight Ahead Fanzine - All of the Audio parts. DISC TWO [RARE!]

Did I mention that this has TWENTY DISCS worth?
So get yourself a bit of space and some CD-Rs ready for this is worthy of a burn and no mistake.
I would give you the FLAC or SHN files but too many folk don't like working with those or can't work them out. also the amount of people who prefer the smaller size of MP3 is much more than the few who prefer the perfection of less compressed data for their audio.
I am sounding like a geek right?
Oh well. I can't help it.
I confess.
I am a geek.
Hmmm.

As you probably noticed too, the title on the CD covers is not the exact title I am giving to the posts but it's the same thing really.
Maybe I should start labeling them correctly next time: 'Black Gold: The Lost Audio Archives Of straight Ahead'.
I WISH I could find a single copy of an issue of that fanzine dammit. A long search online yielded not a thing. Not even a scan or a photo of one page of it.
Do YOU know where it is?

Jimi Hendrix: 'Straight Ahead Fanzine - All of the Audo parts. DISC ONE [RARE!]

Ok. Even though I get not one comment, even though the donations Idea seems to have died a superfast death, even though I still get hundreds of you downlolading the files that are put up and even though I am pissed off with the world generally today(for multiple reasons I will keep to myself), I have for you now a real valuable little gem.
Like I alluded to in previous posts, this is a Hendrix set worth waiting for(which is just as well really if you are getting it from this site huh?!).
I collect Hendrix rareties and have a good amount of unreleased and bootleg cuts but this is different. Until this year I had never heard of it. A fanzine, created and maintained by Hendrix fans (obviously, being a fanzine n' all...), that was also putting out an adio copy tooo. I haven't had the pleasure of laying my eyes or hands on a single copy of the fanzine but let me tell you this: the audio is simply brilliant.
Words fail me here(maybe because I failed education I hear you say), I cannot describe the full effect and the huge amount of content within each episode of the audio fanzine shows.
Why don't I let you listen to it for yourselves, you will anyway and let's be honest - I can't much write for shit anyway.
(I blame the illness).

So this will be a work in progress as there is a lot involved in bringing you the show in high quality MP3 that is worthy of the show. No point in having some low bitrate version so I compromised on space and quality: Files are 260K/bps 48,000hz, joint-Stereo MP3 and no they are not encoded with that friggin Blade encoder!
LAME 3.96 only for this little lot!!

The covers come with it. They are designed with the back and front of each cover, to be used on a double CD Case, with the discs being paired up.

Velvet Revolver - Acoustic KROQ Set

Velvet Revolver! Need I say more? Velvet Revolver are an awesome band, with Slash from Guns N Roses, they performed at Live 8 Last year, and this is their acoustic set from when they were on KROQ in 2004. They perform three songs. No cover art for this one, unfortunately, because I don't think it's an official album. Here's the links. (In RAR format this time!) For those having dificulty unraring on Mac OSX, I reccomend SimplyRAR,
I use it to rar and unrar, it works great, just drag the file in, and hit open rar.
I'm thinking of posting some sets from Live Aid 1985, let me know if theres any intrest, I have Black Sabbath, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Queen and U2's full sets that I can post if wanted.

Winrar.3.60 - Final [You NEED This for files here]

OK ok ok. I got one too many emails today asking me how to extract from the winrar archives that I use to post the albums. It seems that people prefer to email me pparently before even doing a simple google search or using a bit of the old grey matter.
If you are one of the emailers don't take this as a personal attack. You annoying shit.
One way of helping you all in one swoop is to provide you with the latest fully registered version of Winrar. this is the exact same version that I use. that mnimises the chances of you getting any errors straight away so I strongly advise you to download it!

Can I just remind you - If you downloaded any albums and then get a PASSWORD ERROR when you try to extract the MP3s, be assured: THE PASSWORD IS ALWAYS THE SAME AND IS CORRECT.
Winrar will throw up a 'password error' when faced with other problems. why? Who knows. Usually the problem is caused by the file becoming corrupt during the transfer. Advice is always to re-download the file. Try a different mirror link for the album you want. I can always 99.9% guarantee that the problem when you get file errors, is NOT the password. The files are always checked and working.
So please, try a few things(and google searches!) before emailing me blindly like I am some kind of tech support.
Oooh.!

Bob dylan theme Time Radio Hour Episode 19 'The Bible' MP3

Phew!
What a difficulty I gave myself this week getting this to you!
Firstly I realised almost a day too late, that I could have gotten the thing early like I used to. So I got it last night. Converted to MP3 whilst authoring a DVD and downloading at about 2Mbit on bit torrent. Oh and also watching an episode of 'Lost'(which me and her who shall never be named have become quite addicted to of late!).
I trusted my PC to cope. I was wrong.
I went to bed safe in the knowledge that I would have the file up early this morning.
Morning came.. I uploaded the show(without having had the time to listen to it-mistake!) to all of the freehost servers and four bit torrent sites where I seed the file weekly.
Then I sat down this afternoon to listen to it myself.
Sudden glitches in the mpeg were noticabkle in the first minute. Then another. Another and another.
No way could this go out!
FFffffuckit!
I re-got the original file, converted it again, deleted all the torrent posts from all the sites, deleted the rar file and post that I had done for the blog from every freehost site...
Tiring work believe me!
And now...aaaah.
The first of the NEW links of the NEW and definitely working file are now being posted.
I listened to this one. Twice!

It has some brilliant tunes on it this week too.
Despite the theme being 'The bible'!
Go to the Dylan page to grab it now.

Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Three 3 Episode 3

Shit. Is it really a whole week since I last posted an update.
Oops.
I think you should just sack me. I'm pretty crap at this lately.
Needless to say, yep, boring and uninteresting as it is, my ill health has been the culprit once again. I won't bore you with details but let's just say it aint getting any easier and, lesser men than myself may have decided to give up on this site and rest it for a while. not me. I will keep updating as much as I can(a bit more than this past week hopefully!) and will also promise to keep up with the Dylan(and now that daft twat Gervais) shows as I said I would.

Speaking of which, the latest Dylan show is uploading as I type and here is the latest edition of the Karl Pilkington/Gervais Podcast in MP3 for you.
I didn't rip or capture this but someone over at demonoid did a nice conversion and I just re-uploaded it for you all here. Aint listened to it yet but will be in about ten minutes as I skulk back to bed and rest(an exciting life I lead..yes!).
Hope it makes you laugh.
Check back later for the next Dylan Radio Show won't you. Also coming up some great HJendrix stuff that you have NEVER EVER seen on ANY site or BLOG yet! Rare and amazing...to Hendrix fans but also to the wider audience that would like some insight into what the 'good ol' days' were like! A documentary-type thing, (I refuse to give the game away just yet so I will keep you guessing on that one for now!). Also, as it always went down sooo well, expect a few more 'World Music' or Putumayo albums in the next few days ok. I promise to have an uploading session to beat all!

The first response to this post was some arsehole complaining about the low bitrate!
Well sorry but it is a talk radio show.
I have to say that really pissed me off.
Then I must have had a good natured moment. Or something.
Either way, I just added some links to the 128k 44,000hz version for those that prefer it. Its a tad larger at around 30Mb instead of 7Mb.
I got it and upped it anyway.
I can hardly believe it myself but there you go.
A thanks would be nice. Especially from the complaining twat.
