2005 The Subways – Young for Eternity

'This here
Great new young band.
The only thing i can say agin them is that they come from Welwyn Garden City.
I lived and worked there for a while and what a shitehole it is.
The people are fuckwits too.
Apart from this lot, of course :)
and to the Aussie dickwad that complained about us asking for comments:
Dont come the raw prawn wi me, numbnutz.
We do this to share music, spread the good vibes etc so we want feedback, ok?
Ya fucking barbie-cooking, aborigine-hanging, cricket-loving wanker.
Comment on that, cunt...
I feel better now

Bob Marley LIVE! [vi] - The Yvette Acoustic Tape 1976

This might be news to some of you. This tape is a little bit of a gem. It's Bob at his girlfriends house, jamming away on his guitar. I can find very little information on this one as usual, but the files came to me with a text document so here it is:
Recorded in one of Bob's girlfriend's houses this tape includes
many songs that Bob never released and some that would become some
of his most famous classics. The mood is really relaxed and Bob
seems to be in a really great mood often laughing out loud at some
of the things he is singing. He then gets a bit more serious
with the deeply religious God of All Ages where he is accompanied
by the heartbeat rhythm of a bongo drum.
Rumors is also another great highlight featuring some fantastic vocal form.
Bob on this tape also composes some of jammin as well as a very early rendition of
Easy Skanking. He also chats a bit between songs about opening a hospital in Ethiopia.
The tape closes out with Oh What a Day, which is a long very early version of what
would become Misty Morning.

So there you have it. One website tells me that his girlfriends name was Yvette Crichton and that it was in Jamaica. She had a son by Bob: Makeda Marley, in 1981.

I found a picture of Bob and Yvette when they were an item!
Cool...

This was obviously just recorded on some tape machine so don't be expecting studio quality recording here, saying that, it's ok. Don't miss it!

Still looking for potential members here. If you can upload and offer even ONE album a week, I want you! Email me to join and you could be posting the next album!!

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Burnin' [1973]

Bob Marley Lives
It's been a little longer between postings than I'd like but I'm afraid, illness again is dictating what when and where in my life right now.
Not a bootleg but a great Marley album. There was a release with few more 'bonus' tracks, unfortunately I don't have that one so this will just have to do you.
Nothing much more to say here.
Enjoy this pure reggae album and watch out for another in super-quick time.

The reason I enlisted a couple of members to this site was so that YOU, the visitor, would be spoiled for choice and that there would always be one of us offerring an album for download. This is not happening is it?
So, I am again looking to you all and asking if anyone reading this would also like to be writing this, posting up their favourite album - WHATEVER GENRE! - then please, get in touch via the email link at the end of this diatribe. I may get ill and then the posts get few. Having more people on board will give a larger range of music and will help to make sure the albums are updated as often as I planned when I started this place.
So come on! It isn't dificult and I will help you with everything along the way.
Got music you want the rest of us to hear?
Get in touch now!
Email me here

Burnin' - The Wailers 1973
Firin' up with 'Get Up, stand Up' and then treating us with great tracks such as 'I Shot the Sheriff' and 'Burnin' and Lootin', this is truly one of the finest collections. It has one of the better incarnations of 'Small Axe' on it and ends with the hypnotic 'Rastaman chant'.
As it's costing you nothing, I'd say it's well worth the price! Download it now or face humilation by your own ego later on.

Bob Marley LIVE! [v] 06-24-76 Stardust Club, Exeter, Devon UK

Part of the 1976 Rastaman Vibration tour, Bob Marley and the Wailers performed in a city in England called Exeter. I used to live there and believe me it's a beautiful place. One of the few cities left in England that hasn't quite yet abused its 'CITY' status. What I mean by this is that people still actually talk to each other in the street! They are friendly! You don't have the impending feeling that you might be mugged or harrangued by some drug-addled tosspot on every street corner and amazingly, you feel safe at night in the centre of the city.
Not many places like that around these days.
I know next to nothing about the show except the tracklist and to tell you it is a great performance.
I came across this bootleg a long time ago when I was searching google for all kinds of directories of MP3s and bootlegs. Suddenly in front of me was a server located in Poland with about 2o or so Bob Marley bootlegs on it. I had most of them but not this one. they were all in MP3(not such a good thing) and unfortunately the person who put them there had for some reason encoded them all in low bitrates. This one is at a whopping 56k bitrate!!
Don't however be a snob and let that stop you from having a listen. I have just been listening to it and its fine.
Obviously if you are reading this and thinking 'Hmm my 320k or my FLAC copy of this is FAR FAR BETTER' then I want to hear from you!

Enjoy this won't you. Oh and one more thing.
If you ever get the chance and come to England, go visit Exeter. Its great.

TRACKLIST:

  1. Rock (5:23)

  2. Roots, Rock, Reggae (6:34)

  3. Them Belly Full (But Them Hungry) (3:23)

  4. Rebel Music (5:18)

  6. Crazy Baldhead (5:20)

  7. Want More (5:53)

  8. No Woman No Cry (5:18)

Bob Marley LIVE! [iv] 10-19-73 Matrix Club, San Francisco.

I will explain my choice of title here.(Yes, I had emails of confusion!) It says Bob Marley Live[iv] So that's Part 4 of the Bob Marley Live posts. There will be a lot more to add so I am numbering them to keep myself in order!

Ok I know the old motto of 'An album a Day at 3pm' is wearing very thin these days but you know what?
It doesn't matter.
Not really.
I mean, are you in a rush with your life?
Too much to do and not enough time to do it in?
If that is the case then maybe you need to remove some of the crap from your tasklist.
Just a suggestion.
Again I bring you a Bob Marley bootleg of exceptional quality and again I offer you nothing more than a tracklist (I didn't even give you that last time...oops.).
Did I say exceptional quality there? Ok then this one isn't of the same audio quality of previous shows you got here but the band is of the same quality! This is very bassey and a bit on the muffled side. Anyone with half a brain can at least play it through a basic equaliser and get a pretty good result. The ones of you with two brain cells or more can even try to 'fix' or 'enhance' it somewhat on a more permanent basis by using an audio application such as Soundforge, Adobe audition, GoldWave or even Cooledit Pro. I think there is some freeware thing around too. Audacity or something, I dont know.
If you would like to know where these applications are available then, erm, leave a comment on the subject.
(What a sad way to get comments I know).
Bob Marley & The Wailers Live at The Matrix Club, San Francisco, California in 1973

I am in the process of sorting my bootlegs out and discovering that I have a lot of duplicate or misnamed shit on the drive. So as some compensation to you while you await the next AMAZING POST, I deliver you what is probably my favourite all time mass released studio album of Bobs, KAYA.
Crazy Baldheads is a brilliant song. I could listen to this album for weeks. In fact I think I did when I was a complete loser/pot smoking reprobate/hydroponics wizard(!!)
So I say to you...Even if you have KAYA already (the album that is) then go dig it out and listen to it today. It will bring you to a great place.
If you do not have it then GET DOWNLOADING!

Tracklist for The Matrix Club, San Francisco
1. Rastaman Chant (5:23)
2. Duppy Conquerer (5:03)
3. Livley Up Yourself (7:28)
4. Cant Blame Youth (4:54)
5. No More Trouble (5:04)
6. Kinky Reggae (7:00)
7. Get Up Stand Up (5:33)

Need I post the tracklist to KAYA?
Ok then....

1. Easy Skanking (2:58)
2. Kaya (3:15)
3. Is This Love? (3:52)
4. Sun Is Shining (4:58)
5. Satisfy My Soul (4:31)
6. She's Gone (2:25)
7. Misty Morning (3:33)
8. Crisis (3:54)
9. Running Away (4:15)
10. Time Will Tell (3:29)

Bob Marley LIVE! [III] - 05-24-73 Paris Theatre, LONDON

Ok it's the next random bootleg live show of the great Robert Nesta that I plucked from my collection for you.
I must warn you that I know very little about most of these bootlegs and as such would appreciate any of you nerdy anorak music types to give me some info(so that I too can then be a nerdy music anorak!). I had a quick search but turned up very little about this concert apart from the fact that it was in the Paris Theatre in London(surprise surprise!) and that it was recorded by the BBC for something they called 'In Concert'. Not exactly enlightening facts but I tried. Surely you know someone who knows someone who knows something? Or was even there?
Let us know anything about it by leaving a comment.
The quality is great and again, the talent leaves the hairs on the back of my neck standing..

MP3 Directory....Reggae, Rap, Pop, Minced Beef and Flannel Juice

I won't take the credit for this, I will just send you to the blog that I found the other day and where there was a link pointing to a couple of albums.
As there were a lot more albums in the same directory I thought I just had to spread it around a bit. So here are a few pretty damn good albums for you all.
I'm amazed but I just downloaded 'Roots Manuva - Awfully Good' which I'd never have looked at before. I reckon it has the playability time of an Eminem album, which is about a week. Still, it's refreshing to completely change the sounds sometimes. I get stuck in musical ruts and need a jolt now and then. That said, I will still NOT be listening to another album I found there... 'JEM - Finally Woken'. Fucking Jem indeed. What a load of old bollocks.
Get some of these before they go...
The bold are not to be missed, obviously.
Albums

  • Common --- Be
  • Gotan Project --- Inspiracion-Espiracion
  • Horace Andy --- Living in the Flood
  • Jem --- Finally Woken
  • Kanye West --- Freshmen Adjustment

  • Thievery Corporation --- The Cosmic Gate
  • Tryo --- De Bouches A Oreilles - A Lolympia 2005
  • Tryo --- De Bouches A Oreilles - Au Cabaret Sauvage 2005

BOB MARLEY LIVE Part 2 - 10-31-73 The Record Plant, Sausalito, USA KSAN Broadcast

Fuck fuck fuck.
The requests box has disappeared(you might have noticed). It would appear that the lovely people offering this free service have abandoned all hope and just evaporated.
The bastards.

So, if you placed a comment or a request in that box over there with the 'page not found' in it, consider it a waste of your time.
If you are kind enough to consider leaving a comment in future, please do so via the comments link at the foot of the posts.
thanks.
A new requests provider will be found as soon as I can be arsed to find one that doesn't sneak ads or friggin' popups onto the page.

Bob Marley & The Wailers - 10-31-73 Sausalito, USA KSAN Broadcast
This show seems to be currently going under two different names/dates. I will provide you with both. One is of noticably better quality than the other but I like to have both as they are obviously different recordings.
The other named set goes by 12-02-73 The Record Plant, Sausalito, CA but it is easy to find out online that there was no second date at that studio in that year!
For those on limited bandwidth...
...get a proper job!
No, seriously, you will only want to download the first one offered below, that has all the tracks in great quality too. The other version has three tracks mysteriously missing!
Anyway..Here is a great resource for some facts about this particular show and Bob Marley in general...
check it here

Tracklist?
Ok then, just for you..

1. Rastaman Chant
2. Bend Down Low
3. Slave Driver
4. Can't Blame The Youth
5. Stop hat Train
6. Burnin' and Lootin'
7. Kinky Reggae
8. Get Up Stand Up
9. Lively Up Yourself
10. Walk The Proud Land

I love this show but then I am pretty biased. You will be too soon.

1986 Infected – The The

'This here
One of my faves from way back – reminds me of my student days.
I'm talking the baggy snatcher years here... ardent left-wing politics and an almost-permanent erection.
I still have one of those and its nowt to do with my dick ;)
i think this is as relevant 2day as it was then, altogether now :

“This is the land, where nothing changes,
the land of red buses & blue blooded babies,
This is the place, where pensioners are raped,
& the hearts are being cut, from the welfare state,
Let the poor drink the milk, while the rich eat the honey,
Let the bums count their blessings, while they count the money. “

and yes, u can comment...

2003 Keep On Your Mean Side – The Kills

Hiya folks
hope y'all hadda yadda yadda etc etc Mostly i hope yer bleary eyes and sore heads are better :)
So, am thinking of putting up albums that have survived on my mp3-player without being replaced by others. This means, of course, that they have to have a bit of pump, a bit of welly, something to keep u going as u slog thru mountains of snow and slip and break yer f******g leg, something to drown out the ambulances' siren as it rushes u to the emergency room...
(i've also included an EP from the year before)
its a new year so make a resolution to leave a comment if u like the sounds... this is a bit thankless wi no feedback... boo f*****g hoo
also, i have a shitload of gmail accounts too, same bollox : e-mail me and i'll send ye an invite...

Arctic Monkeys New Album ||| 40 Gmail Invites

Just a couple of things.
I was just going to quickly log in and leave a few small gifts for those that want them: Gmail invites. I am stunned to hear that there are lots of people actually wanting and asking all over the place for help to get a GMAIL account for free. I'm more amazed that some dickheads have bought them on eBay!
So I took the liberty of sending a few invites to myself which basically means I get sent the links which are direct links to open a new GMAIL account. You click them and you get the account.
Each link will only work once.
If you want more than one GMAIL account, don't use up two of these links stupid, send yourself one of your own invites after you get the first account!(you will get 100 invites from google when you open an account).

Then I spotted the Arctic Monkeys new album --- Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not --- all over the net and remembered someone asking me for it a week or so ago. Well if you want it, here it is just for you.
