Perfect Dark Zero -=-GAME OST-=-

As this is a Soundtrack from a game...which I get a bit pissed off with(games in general) and now I learn that they even sell the fucking soundtracks?!
It is madness.
We live in a world where the merchandising shite is created and sold BEFORE the film or game it is taken from. A case in point. I might be wrong but I believe the game for King Kong the movie has been released BEFORE the film!
Fucking money from kids is wrong I say.
A game soundtrack I fear is just the same. A money spinning pile of merchandise shit.
So, due to these facts I won't even bother listening to this.
At least not now.
Too busy listening to some good Lennon stuff.
I filled the request though!
Enjoy this, if you like that sort of thing!

first let me say thanks for filling my request (though it must have not been the most joyous one to do, lol). some game ost's are quite good, and while i do play the video games, i must agree with some points you make. i do think that video games today have their share of objectionable content, and i don't like the fact that kids are able to play these games with much violence, sex, etc. And now that the video game industry is pulling in billions of dollars each year, video games are here to stay for quite a while. Video games sure have changed since the eighties, and have changed peoples lifestyles altogether. As you said, many put in a lot of hours in these games, and some of those invest an unhealthy amount having it practically take over their lives. i know that some of these games are fun, and u can get lost in them for quite some time, but they shouldn't let you forget about the outside world.

Wise words indeed. I have a young son and I do get a bit scared about the state of the worlds media and games...the games world in general, like you say, is made of violence and sex. Morality hasn't a chance and kids are the easiest market so they are the ones getting the guns aimed squarely at their heads, so to speak(!)
I look around today and think...what the fuck are people doing?
It is criminal.
We can't change it but we can moan about it anyway.
Hey Rhonda, you should try playing a game, just so that you know what we are talking about.
Mind you, just imagine a million ways to kill or maim a realistic looking human figure on your PC and you're half way there.

I TOATALLY DISAGREE.
I am a 14 year old teen who has been playing videogames since the age of 3. yes you can get hold of games but it is up to the parents on what the kids play. if the parents choose to buy an 18 rated game for a 11 year old then they are the ones to blame. For a start,
game companies are now adding parental controls to the game consoles, so that even if they buy a game they would need a code in order for it to run.
And also games arn't all violence and sex.Look at games like mario kart ds and countless others (the legend of zelda,Jak and Daxter, star wars battlefront 2,project gotham racing 3,Kameo) which are great fun to play and don't have a hint or violence and gore in them.
AND THEY STILL APPEAL TO KIDS.

Coming to what rhonda said above games have a soudtrack 4 1 reason only. because the game music is good and people want to listen to it outside of the game. like joe said, MOST ost's are pretty good but some are just a marketing scam.
by the way, rhonda you really should play a game as you might like it...
Also it's just a human polygonal figure on a screen. it is not real and kids shouldn't be copying what they see on it.
I myself have had gta san andreas for xmas last year .
NOT BECAUSE IT WAS ABOUT DRUGS AND HAD LOTS OF SWEARING.
BUT BECAUSE IT WAS A GOOD GAME WHICH WAS AN ENJOABLE EXPERIENCE.
my parents got it for me for xmas because i don't take it to my head.
i don't go rampaging around london with a shotgun, cursing and killing people like cattle.
games are about escaping the real world and enjoing your self in an unreal world. MORE IMPORTANTLY...
HAVING FUN.
Games are going to be around for a long time until they are gonna get so realistic that you won't know which is real and which isn't.
commenting on hitmewithit's thingy... kid arn't really the easiest market as they don't have that much money to spend on games and the like. i just got the new xbox, which i bought out of my money i got 4 xmas and my birthday.
i should be able to spend my money on what i want. o.k, so prices of consoles and the games are a bit of a rip off but if you think what goes into the games... all the people that work on it. all the effort that goes into it...

with next gen consoles come a higher price tag, but if the price is too high people won't pay 4 it anyway.

i just want to finishing off by saying this...
you have the right to your opinion and i respect that, but i think you need to stop slagging off games and start to:
1) ACTUALLY PLAY GAMES TO SEE WHAT THEY R LIKE
2) IF YOU HAVE A CHILD CHECK WHAT YOUR BUYING THEM.(CONTENT OF THE GAME ETC.
3)IF YOU REALLY WANT TO CHANGE SOMETHING START A PETITION OR SOMETHING.
4)
ASK AND GET AN OPINION FROM SOME 1 WHO ACTUALLY PLAYS GAMES AND HAS BEEN THERE. DOING IT.

ENJOY YOUR DAY AND HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY 1ST POST

BEN TIDY^_^
PS. SORRY ABOUT THE RANT
