BOWIE BBC 1972.01.18-Sounds Of The 70's Bob Harris
Next up, it's another appearance on Sounds Of The 70's with Bob Harris hosting.
I know it's getting repetetive around here but this is a good one. Hehe.
If you don't believe me then you will have to download it and find out for yourself.
Yay!

For non-Bowie fans - if there are any left around here - don't fret, only another 60 bowie posts before I return to the amazing talented artists I was posting before that.
No really, a few more but you should try these as Bowie is such a talented man there has to be something for everyone in his music.

I like the picture your kid has done. You must have pink hair and a goatee..Nice look. Thanks for the music.
You know, it is exactly what I look like.
Glad you like the music. Still a few more Bowie to come. The best one for me, is todays post..The Lunchtime show session. The best!
Recorded: 18 January 1972 - BBC Session #9
Broadcast: 7 February 1972
Venue: BBC Maida Vale Studios
Musicians: David Bowie, Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder & Mick "Woody" Woodmansey
Most agree that this was the best of the BBC Ziggy Stardust radio sessions with the four Ziggy songs being performed as well the eventual album versions. The show was hosted by Bob Harris and included an exclusive interview with Bowie as "Ziggy Stardust". Although recorded on the 18 January, the song "Waiting For The Man" was not broadcast on the 7th February. "Five Years" was only ever recorded for the BBC on this date. A recently discovered excellent quality version of "Queen Bitch" from this session has recently surfaced amongst collectors. The 5 songs recorded for this show were:
"Hang Onto Yourself"
"Ziggy Stardust"
"Queen Bitch"
"Five Years"
"Waiting for the Man"
