Various Artists -- Flamenco Chill [2004]
I just L-O-V-E this album. This genre, style, atmosphere..Everything. After listening to it again today I feel so positive. Always puts me in a good mood. It's uplifting. Believe me when I say that: My life situation is just one step up from guantanamo bay at the moment. Its painful, dark, intermittent torture and there seems no way of getting out of there.
Guantanamo Bay that is, not this album(or my home).
There are some great artists featured on this one of my best Flamenco styled chill-out albums. A few artist names that you will have also seen on various incarnations of the Cafe Del Mar series. I pretty much fell in love with one artists pure sound in particular: Chambao.
I went a-lookin yesterday and actually acquired a complete album of theirs. This is good news for you too as it will be here soon.
Just as a little added feature for you, due to my lack of interest in reproducing Track Lists on the page here, click this link to see the NFO document with tracklist, playlength, files size and encoding details! (It is in a GIF image so it will just open the image in a new window when you click the small image)
If you appreciate music or you think you do, don't miss out on this one. Sit back, relax and, as it says in the title..
Chill.
God that sounds so fucking 'student-wannabe-hippy' doesn't it?
Just that word in that context: Chill.
Chill man! Chill out dude! Take a chill pill.!
Hopefully anyone who still speaks in that way will, like me, reach an age where they can actually admit - 'What a fucking twat I was back then'. At least they are redeeming themselves in some way just by attempting to.
It's the ones who carry on talking like that into their 40's and beyond that I cringe over. Arrgghh. They usually still smoke a constant stream of weed and will bore you for hours on the oh-so-bloody-interesting concept of 'People just don't get Pink Floyd's Darkside album man' conversations until you start to bleed from your pores in absolute boredom. (They always call it 'Darkside' of course).
Twats.

Oh Spain. What a country.
I have this beautiful idea..It's more like a dream...
...Move to Spain, live in the dusty country going to local bars, watching live Flamenco Guitar and traditional dancing...
...Sandy beaches, warm people and sunshine..
then I wake up and realise I live in a drab, boring southern English town with local people (who seem to have been dropped by evolution somewhere along the way) and are about as interesting as a slap in the face with a frozen kipper smeared with fresh manure.
Can't have it all I suppose..

Thankx a lot...
BUT...
Tracks 2 & 3 are missing in the rarfile.
Thanks anyway
Rayden
You know, you're right and somehow I don't have them on my Hard Drive.
Oops. I did have a huge Drive failure a month or so ago and though I recovered loads of stuff, I am still sometimes finding the odd file missing here and there...This is extremely sad news.
I will try to track them down.
Grrr.
Thanks ! Looking forward to listening to the missing files...
Luc
