Ok I took a day off yesterday..such hard work you know.
Here is a strange, strange brew indeed. I can't quite make up my mind with this one at all but I know it has something magical about it and had to upload it for you to hear. That is if you have been hiding under a rock this past week and hadn't heard it already!
Antony and the Johnsons are a NY band that boast the most original, unique and mysteriously macabre sounding voice I have heard thus far in the course of this blog..maybe my life?(surely not!).
This guy -Antony- breaks all expectations, disgards formulas and sets his own boundaries as far as vocals go. Put that with a very distinguishable and, again, dark piano and you have something that makes your heart flutter now and then when it hits home. Which it does quite a lot.
Haunting and almost operatic in style with heavy dark undertones and yet somehow it's all so camp!
The lyrics are just too fucking weird for me.
Unmissable.
Weird.

Can you tell me how to download the Yann Tiersen? I love this guy, but i can't figure out how to do it on my mac.
Um..I have never used a MAC but..how would you download any other direct link from a website?
That is all you have to do with these. I have noticed,(as I have been downloading a few albums from the same place) that the speed has gone very very slow in the last few hours and a lot of times it will not connect. Maybe that is what is happening. Don't worry - If I manage to get the whole album I will repost it to [RS} or somewhere for the site ok.
Keep trying..don't you have a right click option to download a link on a page, with a MAC?

If you have a two button mouse, just right-click and select the download link option. If you don't have a two-button mouse, just press the control button and click on the links. Finally, if you're using Safari, the easiest way is to just option click on the links and it automatically starts them downloading.

Actually, as of now there is NO WAY to download the links from here as they don't work any more. Luckily, thanks to a site visitor here, I have just recieved the album in full and it will be featured VERY SOON :)
Both yann and antony are dead. Crikey.
