[2005] Cirque Du Soleil - Alegria

A little while back, when I was reeling in pain and illness(!) I remember someone asking me if I would be able to post another album or soundtrack by Cirque Du Soleil. Not sure if any particular one was requested but I had this on the hard drive and had listen to it today.
It's a fine piece of music. If you know anything of them you will know that to describe the music as theatrical is a slight understatement!
This one starts off with an electric bass and light percussion that just lifts you, gently, beat by beat...then rising, breaks out into a beautiful Latino female vocal. Sit back and lap it up. From that moment until the end, you are under their spell.
Each album of theirs seems to be a journey. Kind of like the old prog-rock albums except, not at all like them.
If you know what I mean.

I love the circus-feel, the french accordion, the trademark quirky and slick presentation and the drums. They are good and go a whole lot on their drums..
They sound traditional and theatrical one minute and then electric guitar and maybe Electro-pop the next.
Hehe.
Just try it.
