[1972] Pink Floyd - From The Other Side {{Bootleg 3 ultra rare DSOTM tracks from Abbey Rd}}

Pink who?
Yeah. It does seem a bit of a long time since I was posting so much good bootlegs on here.
Oh well. this one is quite interesting.

Let me just copy the info I got with it to save you from my erratic nonsensical ramblings.

COPY & PASTE *on*

Pink Floyd
1972-06-xx
From The Other Side
Abbey Road Studios
London, England

Lineage: Golden Memories boot originals > wav > eac > shn > HQ VBR MP3 Full Stereo @ 44,000kHz
Quality: EX

Tracklist:
01. Time (6:06)
02. Brain Damage (3:24)
03. Us And Them (5:26)

Notes:
This RARE release is possibly from June 2 or June 3 sessions, done on a 16 track
recorder.
From the back cover:

3 ULTRA RARE ALTERNATIVE VERSIONS OF ...

TIME - no solo lead guitar after "starting gun" ... no Breate [sic] Reprise.
BRAIN DAMAGE - no laughing on fade up ... "lunatic is in my head" fade up is different from what precedes on record (which is chorus instead of instrumental section) ... "if cloud burst..." has lead guitar not on record ... no voice speech in next section, but lead guitar instead... lead guitar on end after "dark side of the moon".
US AND THEM - Sax solo at the beginning has different ending ... no echo on voice ... sax continues under voice into second verse ... into "forward he cried" ... and next verse, "black and blue" (record starts at "who's who" and goes to "up and down")... sax continues into "up and down" verse and into "haven't you heard" with no voice over.
On record the sax is the same take but just mixed in and out.

COPY & PASTE *off*

Oh yeah and if you can make sense out of that then you're a better man than I.
Heh. I am guessing it wasn't written by someone with English as their first language.
no matter. It is in the listening that you get the point, not the reading.
Are you much of a Floyd fan?
Can you immediately spot these differences?
I hope so!
Anyway enjoy and look forward to more soon.

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way,
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say...

just read about the crohns disease symptoms.
it feels like a heroic effort to do this under the circumstances.

Hey pete, cheers mate for the kind comment. Yeah, it isn't always so grim but this disease affects everyone who has it, in a different way. Same general symptoms but very large scale of variations of those symptoms!!
Just happens that I get severe ones and when it hits, it hits bad. I was looking through the older posts here and I realised I wasn't as ill a while back, it shows in the attitude of my posts and the frequency of updates! So for the moment it is a struggle but I just await the present crohns 'onslaught' to come to a head or to go into remission!
Thanks again and enjoy the tunes..!

Fun to hear different versions of these songs that, good as they may me, have been overplayed nearly to death. Thank you, and I hope your health improves.
