Cowon JetAudio v6.2 Plus VX [NEW LINK!]
Ok I know the last program I posted was a pile of shit but hey -I didn't make the fuckin' thing!
This one, apparently, is better. At least it has some kind of a following and is pretty highly ranked on some of the trillion shareware sites out there in cyberland. So here it is for your pleasure to organise, convert, stream, and of course play your MP3 and other format Audio files..
Jet Audio Plus 6.2 VX.
Check the official site here
Unfortunately I gather it is yet another program that doesn't give a shit about you ipod users with your MP4 or M4a format.
Well you shouldn't have bought the damn thing should you.
For fuck's sake why don't you just go download DBPowerAMP and convert all your shit files to MP3 anyway?
I hate these companies with their own file formats. Sony are the biggest piss takers with their Atrac shite. Oh yes, great idea. Pity most programs don't even know what Atrac is but that's what Sony want. They want to own you and your music. Well fuck Sony and throw them in the same box as Microsoft and their crappy windows Media format..yuk. Makes me sick to think of it. That isn't snobbery by the way it's just a rational reaction to hearing the treble-breaking reproducing quality of an average WMA music file. It hurts the ears!
So Jet Audio..
What can it actually do?
From the nfo document that comes with this download -provided by the huge software conglomerate known as FOSI:
JetAudio is integrated multimedia software composed of a single compact rack.
Not only does it play various music and video files, but it also has other features such as CD burning, recording, conversion to other file formats, and so on.
In addition to these features, you have the ability to create your own Internet broadcasting by using JetCast, which is provided with JetAudio.
Play all major file formats and discs, including WAV, MP3, MP3Pro,OGG, WMA, MPG, AVI, WMV, MIDI, RM, and video, and audio CD. Convert among audio file formats, and record analog audio to various formats.
The program features Internet broadcasting with JetCast; visualization plug-ins, including Sound2Vision; tag editing for MP3, OGG, and WMA; various sound effects including wide, reverb, and x-bass; multichannel sound output; speed control of audio playback; crossfading for smooth transition between two songs; a skinnable user interface; synchronized lyrics display (karaoke) for MIDI and MP3 files; and subtitles.
Hmm...sounds too good?
Please note my friends..This is the PLUS version of the new VX version of the program. It has ALL the features you can read about on that site. To be honest I can't wait to get a bit more acquainted with it myself. I only just installed it as I've been busy dealing with uploads and shit like trying to locate the missing tracks from yesterdays album.. Have a heart by the way, I lost 40Gb of data when the Hard Drive just, died. I had to spend about 2 weeks recovering it so that's where the missing tracks went! I will find them.
NEW LINK WILL BE POSTED LATER TODAY. OLD ONE CORRUPT.

I have been using JetAudio in the past for quite a while (now I have half-heartedly converted to Windows Media Player v10 because I find quite convenient the Library feature) and I can confirm that it is a really good MP3 player. Lots of equalizer presets & very easy to choose one. Various skins to choose from. Lots of tuning parameters for the savants. And one feature I really liked and have not found in any other player - you can have an "always-on-the-top" bar which displays the name of the song, even when the player is minimised - colour, transparency, position, fonts, size can all be configured to your taste so that it does not interfere with the rest of the applications you're working at the time. All in all a very decent and rich in features player
Ahaa. Indeed. See? I'm on the cutting edge.
LONG LIVE MP3
Windows sucks, they dont' have native support for OGG Vorbis in windows media player but they have support for every other fucking audio format under the sun; including their own 10 proprietary formats. God forbid they support playback of something opensource without having to twist their arms to get a damn plugin
Went for this, downloaded, un-rar-ed, but the "www.mp33pm.tk" password wouldn't do it... shame, that. Any ideas?
Email me with an update. I'll download it myself later and if that is the case, there will be a new link within the hour!
Weird. The password lets you open the file and see the unencrypted files inside but then won't extract. I think it has become corrupted. Maybe uploadhut sucks?
Ok, upping mp3s to RS right now but when that's done I will give a new link for this. Thanks for letting me know. :)
