I use a ewinrar template to rar all of the salbums I post. That means it is completely IMPOSSIBLE for me to enter a different password. It is always the same no matter what happens at your end. Files can be corrupted upon downloading or at the filehost. You should always redownload at least 3 times before giving up on a files integrity. the password is definitely NOT the problem. If you use a MAC then this can be the problem. Do you?
Sorry to hear you got the error as I checked the files and they all work fine?
Try a couple of the other ones.
I trust you did get the TWO parts reuired...ie. part 1, part 2?

I don't care if it's broken up into two or more, but I've had some format issues -- with the files I can download, they are often not recognized, on either of my computers. I have Macs and use Safari or Internet "Exploder"(I admit to harboring a hatred for all things Microsoft) -- is there a way to signify which are straight MP3 downloads? thanks much for the effort.
I was able to download Baseball, Mother and half of Jail, for some reason.

Hey DAN, none of the files posted on here are straight MP3 files. They are ALL archives. That is, the MP3 files are packed and contained inside an archive file which allows for it to be split up and also allows for a bit more compression to reduce the size, plus it means we can hide the actual contents of the files so that the freehost services cannot just see the mp3s and then delete the somewhat illegal files!
so, your problem is working out how to open these archives right?
There are many ways to deal with RAR files on a mac. It is a windows format (the program I use is called winrar...) but there are a few MAC programs that will open and deal with them pretty well. I have a few people who had problems in the past and now tell me they can open all of the files no problem!!

First stop i believe is to get the highly recommended app UnrarX from here:
http://www.unrarx.com/
there are info's and support on the site there too as well as download of the free program

Another program to try:
http://gumby.misplacedmac.com/

Another:

A couple of useful pages for you..the first is a list of loads of mac oprgrams and it covers rar file tools too. check it out!
http://www.eskimo.com/~pristine/compen.html

This page is a discussion about opening rar files and you might want to follow the links they recommend to each other on there..
http://forums.macrumors.com/archive/index.php/t-99118.html

Thewn there is the mac version of winrar.
Sorry but I only seem to have instructions for use, for PACKING files, not unpacking them.
If you understand terminal and commandline, then would the right command be expand?
YOu definitely should get it and play around as it is supposedly great!

-----------------------------
Download WinRar from the link provided.

http://files.rarlab.com/rar/rarosx-3.6.b6.tar.gz

Instructions for use to make a rar file with the site password..(not much use to you I know but it was written for a guy who uploads for us!, with the correct password for MP3@3PM:

Open up terminal. Yes, Winrar Mac Edition is a command line app. Don't worry, it's not that hard.

Drag winrar (The file, not the folder) into the terminal.

type in this string

Code:
a -ed -pMP3@3pm album

EDIT: Always make sure you get the case of lettering correct. Upper case 'MP3' then lower case '3pm'
then drag in the folder of MP3's to be rar'ed.

wait.

The finished RAR will be in your user directory.

-----------------------------

OK Dan! Don't say I'm not good to you!
hope you get it qorked out!
You can always run one of those 'virtualPC programs and install winrar on it just to open the files!!! that works too I hear!
