The Lennon Tapes [06-12-1980] BBC Last Interview

I'm going to hospital [note: The Clinical director is also my surgeon] today for one of these. No time to post comment on the files on offer today as I await the cab to pick me up for the 2hr drive to London, only to say that if you haven't heard these exclusive, hugely enlightening and interesting tapes then you must download them now and hear for yourself what a happy couple John and Yoko were, 48 hours before John met his untimely death.
I only came to hear these last week and I am glad I did. Quite a good find and definitely something to keep.

Here is a little info on the premise of the recordings:

===
This was one of John's last major interviews before his death on December 8, 1980. John and Yoko talked to the BBC's Andy Peebles on December 6 of that year. They talked about their life together and apart, the breakup of the Beatles, the first meeting of J&Y, John's feelings about his past and his plans for the future, the drugs, the booze, music making - everything under the sun and then some.
===
This is also published as a paperback which is difficult to get your hands on these days, well the original print run at least. I found a site with it for sale...not affiliated with it, just thought it might save you looking if you were interested that's all.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the music mate and this latest Lennon interview is a masterstroke. I had this back in the nineties when it was released and am chuffed to get it again (mainly because He likes Madness and big ups them in the interview)... and please no more XTC once heard them described as 1979's version of the Barron Knights.
