Ricky Gervais Podcasts ... the Bonus Disc exclusive!

Ricky Gervais. Such a funny guy. For a time I used to think he really was the funniest guy I had ever seen as far as comedy goes. Before that I think John Cleese was my favourite but when Ricky Gervais appeared on the TV screen he really changed things. Well a little. Not much actually. He just did what came naturally and everyone around him changed. They rallied around him, building up hype. As if the media could hardly believe this 'new' comedy that consisted of erm...not much really.
Not in terms of 'TV friendly' comedy. He didn't give them much to go on.
It was just situations; cringe worthy moments; awkward silences and nothing that would look so good on TV at all. Even in early interviews he was such a nice chap. So humble.
Heh.

Think he's changed?
Ever since the podcasts solely consisted of him and Stephen Merchant taking the piss out of Karl I started to wonder if I found him as funny anymore.
I've said it before here but I just wish he would get away from the Karl thing and maybe talk about something else for a change!
These podcasts only run their lifespan because they stopped talking about anything other than the Karl thing and it really is a thin joke. OK it still makes me laugh when Karl says something funny and they howl in the background, but, I would have loved it if they had brought out some of these shows where Ricky and Stephen talked about something and maybe had a bit of a comedy debate...the big topics, religion, science, immortality etc. etc. and yes, even Karl could chip in now and again like he used to before they made him an equal member and he eventually was the only topic!
The conversations they used to have on the XFM shows are absolutely classic and they are the real shows to keep a hold of.
I haven't listened to this yet, just uploaded it fast cos' you asked for it, so maybe I am wrong and this one is a good one.
Still, bring back the old Ricky and Stephen like the XFM days...

Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Five 5 Episodes 1 - 4

Hey fans, I'm sure you won't mind me assuming you are my fans eh..I mean, well...whatever. I am renowned for talking shit so why stop now...I am just getting going again lately!!

Thanks to a kind posting from mr ed in the shoutbox over yonder there, I can repost his links to the very latest podcasts by Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington.
I wasn't too well so didn't get my arse in gear to search these out but nice of mr ed to share with us so thanks mate :)
I also haven't listened to them either!
I put episode one on the other night and heard the usual taking the piss out of Karl and Ricky laughing until I fell asleep so...seems nothing has changed. If that is the case I fear I may get a bit bored with it ... they used to have so much more going for them than ONLY taking the piss out of Karl!!! You have to admit, it does get a bit tedious!!
No doubt I will still be laughing hard at some point when I hear it.

George Carlin. COMPLETE AUDIO COLLECTION download MP3 audiobooks

What fucking sad news. Life is a weird kind of slap in the face sometimes... Even guys like this who seem to do so much to make others laugh and look at life in ways that you may have overlooked...well...obviously, even fuckers like him die some day.
I doubt I am telling you anything you don't know here..hehe. Fuck off then. It just takes something like this to make me stop and look around and think...'Hmm I wonder what the fuck it is all about anyway'.
And then I go back to whatever I was doing.(picking my toenails, scratching my arse...etc,.)
I'm no soul searcher. I don't need or want religion. I couldn't give a fuck about death when I really think about it.
I just found myself wondering, that's all. The madness of it all...
Here's another guy who I had such a liking for and here's another guy dead. Everyone dies. You could surmise that some sick mother fucker placed us here in a paradoxical joke called life. You are born, you want to grow and learn and get stronger and learn some more and....you want to procreate(Mmmm).
You are built merely to reseed (If you will pardon the bit torrent analogy for a second - I can't help it) and keep seeding until you can seed no more. All throughout your existence, whilst aiming for health and reseeding small versions of yourself you also have a strong penchant for a thing known as 'Happiness'.
Fucking Happiness. Great stuff isn't it?
So you slide around and balance, sometimes struggling, sometimes miles away from it, on the wave of happiness like a surfer who just hasn't got the hang of it.
If you're lucky you start to get the hang of it in your later years.
If you made it that far and some nasty fucking illness, car crash, heart attack or arse cancer didn't take you out already!
So you find happiness. You stay at home with your mate...your (once) lover, companion and friend for life...your soulmate.
You share the days into old age and, although you have a bad back; your wife's eyesight is going; you can't walk the dog like you used to and you are developing arthritis, you share those days like they are the last fucking days on the planet. You are in love.
You really have got the hang of it now.
You found the 'Happiness'
Fucking good stuff it is too.
Then one of you goes and fucking dies.
Leaves the other one in total fucking misery and, with the added bonus of having to fend for themselves, probably got hardly any friends after you both left them behind when you became so fucking lovey dovey. If anything, the fact that you allowed yourself to get so reliant and loved-up with your significant other has only served to make you fucking weak and useless when they are suddenly plucked from your life. You are a dribbling wreck and now all you want is for the same sick hand of fate to come and collect your sorry arse up too. Inevitably, you will be made to sit around in your miserable shit for years...probably go a bit senile, probably start shitting yourself and go into a home where they slap you across the face and tell you to shut the fuck up just because you asked them to let you change your fucking underpants after you shit them again. Finally when the cancer really kicks in, you'll gasp a last breath in that sad sorry place with no fanfare, no ceremony, not a thing but only the cleaner woman looking across at you. Even she is thinking 'fuck, now I am going to have to clean that old bastard up..'.
Happiness?
What a sick fucking story.

*Just my take on things, don't take it too seriously will you ;)

+++**~~GEORGE CARLIN~~**+++

He didn't give a fuck and he always said no one would give a fuck when he died...and that he wouldn't - cos' he's be dead!
Well I agree of course.
But so many people will remember him and his memory will live on forever I reckon.
Please do yourself a good turn and download this collection of ALL of his published audio shows and a couple of books and go sit down and grab yourself some of that 'Happiness'.

The following is actually a bit torrent file.
Listen up those who do not use torrents!
There is now a brilliant little website that will take a torrent file, create a tiny application that needs NO INSTALL and leaves nothing on your PC, it is all just contained in the one tiny file, it basically runs a built in torrent downloader for you when you run it for the torrent file it was created with.
Confused?
This is all you need to know...
I created a torrent2exe file (the name of said brilliant program for downloading torrents without having to know anything!) out of the following George Carlin Collection.
All you need to do if you want it is to download the file I created from the link below, run it and it will create a folder on the hard drive (in the same folder you are running it from) called 'George Carlin'. Then it will start downloading the complete collection from the bit torrent network. You will most likely have to allow it through your firewall (don't be paranoid about this, it is normal and safe).
In the program window it will tell you how long it expects to run until you have the whole collection and some other things that you really don't have to learn about but there is a clickable link on it if you do want to learn, click it and go read!

The George Carlin Collection contains....

George Carlin - 40 Years in Comedy
George Carlin - Again
George Carlin - Back In Town
George Carlin - Carlin on Campus
George Carlin - Complaints And Grievances
George Carlin - Jammin In New York
George Carlin - More Stuff On Cars & Driving
George Carlin - Napalm And Silly Putty[audiobook.read.by.George]
George Carlin - Parental Advisory
George Carlin - Playin With Your Head
George Carlin - The Little David Years 1971 1977 Disc 1
George Carlin - You Are All Diseased.1999

ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE THE FULL ALBUM 'AUDIO ONLY' RELEASES.
Very enjoyable and highly recommended!

Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant & Karl Pilkington - NME PODCAST!! {June 2008} FINAL SHOW!!

Don't be too shocked, it's only me.
I have returned from an op in hospital, nothing too big but still an invasion all the same. The results seem to be zero so far but life goes on.
It came to my surprise yesterday to discover there was a radio show one-off done by Ricky, Stephen and Karl for NME Radio sometime in June!
As I didn't see anyone mentioning it where I usually hang about, and as no one has harrassed me for it on this very page I thought you might appreciate me providing a link or two.
The show is just like the old formula, the three of them and Ricky & Stephen insulting Karl for his various shortcomings from his perfectly spherical head to his lack of intellect..etc.etc,.

Made me laugh though so it's worth the listen!
They definitely say that this is the final get together for a podcast like this so I suppose it is the FINAL show.
Oh well.
Seems Karl hates doing them nowadays he says.
I wonder why eh?

Only 22MB and a cool 64:5mins long!

Devendra Banhart - Rejoicing In the Hands [2004]

Hello once again.
As you might already know I used to be an avid fan of 'The Office' and then all things ricky Gervais had a hand in. I then decided he was becoming a bit too full of himself (why that should be a crime when you become successful I don't know, but I am from UK and this is how we reward success!) so I got tired of him. Then I watched the re-runs of 'Extras' on BBC lately and I am surprised to say that, this time around I was laughing a lot at them!
The best character by far is played by the brilliant and brilliantly funny, Stephen Merchant.

I always really liked him on those Gervais podcasts and whenever Merchant would go into a story or babble on about whatever, it would be of a higher class of comedy and always sure to be funny too.
Well good news. Admittedly you probably already know this and I could have told you three weeks ago but well..I've been ill right? Time flies when you're err...feeling like death.
Stephen Merchant now has his OWN radio show. And not just some podcast to take the piss out of Karl either. A proper radio show, with music and good banter!
I highly recommend it to all!
So make sure you hear it next time by going to the BBC radio site and getting it streamed on Sundays at 3pm UK time, or UT/GMT if you prefer.
Follow this link to hear the show on Sundays...
Realplayer stream
Windows mediaplayer stream.
Hi quality
Lo quality
Any problems with those links then you can use the web page player Here and choose Realplayer or Winmedia.
Also, the good ol' BBC will allow you to go and listen to the show at any time in case you missed it so get your arse over there right now and listen. It's funny shit and the music is great too.
Latest Show Direct to Realplayer
Latest show played in Web page at BBC Radio 6

I hope you enjoy it as much as I am!

So on to today's music choice.
I heard this artist on the very first Stephen Merchant show so I looked him up and go t the full album...not too bad as it turned out.
Check the Wikipedia entry.
If you can't be arsed to do that then just take it from me...if you want to hear some simple and pretty basic acoustic tunes, not unlike Nick Drake and definitely a hint of early Floyd too...then I suggest giving it a go.
I could say more but I won't.
Something about him reminds me of a young dylan too..
Just try it.

Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Three 3 Episode 3

Shit. Is it really a whole week since I last posted an update.
Oops.
I think you should just sack me. I'm pretty crap at this lately.
Needless to say, yep, boring and uninteresting as it is, my ill health has been the culprit once again. I won't bore you with details but let's just say it aint getting any easier and, lesser men than myself may have decided to give up on this site and rest it for a while. not me. I will keep updating as much as I can(a bit more than this past week hopefully!) and will also promise to keep up with the Dylan(and now that daft twat Gervais) shows as I said I would.

Speaking of which, the latest Dylan show is uploading as I type and here is the latest edition of the Karl Pilkington/Gervais Podcast in MP3 for you.
I didn't rip or capture this but someone over at demonoid did a nice conversion and I just re-uploaded it for you all here. Aint listened to it yet but will be in about ten minutes as I skulk back to bed and rest(an exciting life I lead..yes!).
Hope it makes you laugh.
Check back later for the next Dylan Radio Show won't you. Also coming up some great HJendrix stuff that you have NEVER EVER seen on ANY site or BLOG yet! Rare and amazing...to Hendrix fans but also to the wider audience that would like some insight into what the 'good ol' days' were like! A documentary-type thing, (I refuse to give the game away just yet so I will keep you guessing on that one for now!). Also, as it always went down sooo well, expect a few more 'World Music' or Putumayo albums in the next few days ok. I promise to have an uploading session to beat all!

The first response to this post was some arsehole complaining about the low bitrate!
Well sorry but it is a talk radio show.
I have to say that really pissed me off.
Then I must have had a good natured moment. Or something.
Either way, I just added some links to the 128k 44,000hz version for those that prefer it. Its a tad larger at around 30Mb instead of 7Mb.
I got it and upped it anyway.
I can hardly believe it myself but there you go.
A thanks would be nice. Especially from the complaining twat.

Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Three 3 Episode 2

Yup. I caved in and did it again.
This time it made me laugh a lot for a little while. I think something to do with the fact that Karl talks about just having been through a kidney stone experience that I could relate to!
Karl is classic stuff.
It is just the presence of Mr Gervais that leaves a bad taste in the mouth when listening to this. he has the gall to close the show with, 'You've been listening to the Ricky Gervais Show with me Ricky Gervais..'
He does NOTHING on it anymore!! the original XFM Radio shows used to be brilliant. Pure class. Same three presenters, same type of humour BUT...they ALL contributed and they all had something to say. Stephen Merchant can be so hilarious too. After a while on their radio shows there, you could see they were getting a bit tired and low on ideas. Then they just made the spot where they let Karl talk crap for a while run on a lot longer, which was funny. I'm not sure when the format turned into 'two guys interview another guy and the other guy is a dumb twat who makes the two guys constantly laugh at his ineptitude.'
That's all it is now. funny but even half an hour of that is a bit too long.
Karl talked for the WHOLE SHOW this time. that's what made me realise just how little the others put into it these days.
Anyway, I don't suppose you give a shit!

Enjoy the show then eh!?

Ricky Gervais Podcasts Series Three 3 Episode 1

Hello all.
I said I wouldn't, but I did.
enjoy.
Personally I don't rate Ricky anymore these days. As for Karl, for those who think it is all scripted and claim he is a fake or whatever, take it from me, someone who listened from day one of the old shows: He is no fake idiot. he really is that dumb. however it is getting tiresome. Flogging a dead horse.
Doesn't stop me trying to get hits on my site by providing links for those that like to hear it.
(Ok I still enjoyed having a listen to it, I admit it!)

Ricky Gervais Podcast Episode 6 , Series 2

Ricky Gervais Podcast series 2 Episode 6
ricky gervais 2x06, 2x6 final episode, podcast!
Is it the FINAL EPISODE?
Forever?
Maybe it should be?!

Hmm that should be enough search engine crap.

Well I am a bit sorry to say, but not surprised really, that this show was/is just not funny this time. I mean, hope long can two guys take the piss out of another guy? I know, to infinity +1 but not if they don't add anything new into it. Karl, the funny guy in this latest series of podcasts has now started to TRY to be funny. When the un-funny stooge or the 'unconscious comedian' realises that everyone thinks he's hilarious and then starts to TRY to be funny....Zzzzzzz.
They have to stop it fast. They need to realise the sad fact that people weren't laughing at their jokes or with them but just blatantly AT them.
Karl is funny because he is stupid. You don't dislike him for it or even feel you are being disrespectful or derogatory in finding him funny as he is apparently oblivious to it and doesn't care. When he starts to try to make you laugh and thinks he is some kind of funny guy then someone has to say NO.
I fear this show is reaching a sort of natural ending. Gervais, in this show at least, is boring boring boring. When he isn't just shouting at Karl he has this annoying habit of trying to sound like an educated fool! He comes over all pseudo intellectual and tells Karl the science behind some topic or other and the funny part of that is...He fucking gets it wrong himself too! Thus looking like a real idiot!
Like last week he said the moon spins around or words to that effect! Something about how we see the moon spinning from Earth...I hadn't picked up on it until they read an email out this week with people telling him he was wrong. He still tried to sound intelligent and then turned the conversation around to a complete attack on Karl for - get this- being stupid!
Anyway...Enjoy!

Ricky Gervais Podcast Series One (1) Episodes 1 to 12

Aloah.
Note: I actually believed this was a REAL genuine McDonalds ad. Funny that.Typically insulting, not much difference to their past and present mind-fucking ad campaigns.
Don't forget to fuck McDonalds over though right: Don't go there and if you can, do something nasty to your nearest outlet. The fuckers.
Here's a nice one that helps you to visualise the whole thing...

As requested far too many times by far too many people, here are all of the recent Ricky Gervais podcasts.... that is, series 1. If you want series two it's here already, go and look.

Enjoy. The quality is fairly consistent...I think a couple of times I made it stereo and then realised it made it smaller if mono with no noticable difference..then I reduced the bitrate to 56 or 40. It sounds great, trust me.
I better go, I think I have a life.

Ricky Gervais Podcast Episode 4 , Series 2.

This one is not as funny, especially if, like me you have heard all of the old radio shows etc because a lot of the content in this podcast are topics they have covered in the past. So already it seems they are running out of material? relying on the old classic subjects that KArl cannot fathom, which were funny once before so they must be funny again. Maybe to first time listeners but I don't like hearing the same thing twice.
Anyway here it is...I decreased the size a bit as its in pointless stereo...yet mono makes no difference.
Enjoy. Good music is on the way I promise.
Nice to see not one person commenting on the cirque album.
You bunch of weirdos!

Ricky Gervais Podcast . EPISODE 3, SERIES 2 {the paid for version}

HAVE YOU DONE THE POLL?

Ricky Gervais podcast episode 3
-with Karl Pilkington and Steve Merchant.

I listened to this one last night and it got me laughing so much at one point. Brilliant. I find I am going off Gervais a bit, like I said before, I used to almost worship him for his comedy but lately I suspect it's going to his head. Steve Merchant is a funny guy and as for Karl, well he's mad but always good for a laugh.
Sorry about the crap file last night, I fluffed it. Good quality mp3 up now, made it a bit smaller too with no sound loss..

Enjoy the third podcast!

Ricky Gervais Podcast . EPISODE 2, SERIES 2 {the paid for version}

HAVE YOU DONE THE POLL?

I know some hate the Gervais man and some love him. I used to love him and sadly thought I would start a new religion at one point as my listening to him or watching him became like a symptom of obsessive compulsive disorder. Anyway..it has to be said that over the course of his success he has become somewhat of a twat. He used to bgar about his golden globe awards and other things he had won for 'The Office' series and it used to be funny. Nowadays it seems that he really is that sad that he is blatantly bragging, like a schoolboy. Hmm then he has this annoying habit of name-dropping famous people(as if anyone, well anyone with an ounce of sense that is, gives a flying fuck about so called celebrities anyway) whenever he can get it into the conversation. I think he is just a child that hasn't grasped the concept of adulthood yet. Maybe that is why he can be so funny. Seeing the world from such a childish viewpoint would be pretty funny.
Now though he is acting like a child but its annoying, not funny.
I say if Karl Pilkington was to carry on this podcast, selling it too, the people who are enjoying listening to it now would gladly carry on buying it WITHOUT Ricky-superman-Gervais even in it.
Stephen Merchant on the other hand, has kept his feet and his mind, firmly where he started. He doesn't brag or act like a tosser any more than he used to when he first appeared on radio with Ricky.
World calling Ricky Gervais: Calm down and stop being a fucking idiot or you will fall quicker than you managed to rise up!

Enjoy the second podcast my friends.....

Ricky Gervais Podcast . the paid for version.

As most interent users who share my sense of humour or just the ones who take the time to read a bit of net news now and again, will be aware of the Ricky Gervais podcast and how it entered the Guinness Book of Records as being the most downloaded podcast ever, (or 'so far') .
Well It pissed me off a tad when I heard that, one of the things that made their podcast so popular and something they used to tell you often enough when promoting it, the fact that it was FREE, has now been revised.
They obviously didn't get their earnings from the countless selling of 'The Office' to different networks and DVDs and all the rest of it. I am all for capitalism(don't quote me on that) but I think there is a time when greed should take a rest.
Something which starts out as a free show, a half hour show, should stay that way(in an ideal world maybe I hear you say? Well not quite, they can afford it so why not?!).
So that is the reasoning I give for buying it myself(!!) and giving it to you, for FREE.
